Boredroom is remote team software that gives every person an AI assistant called Brenda. This explainer lets Brenda introduce the product herself, in her own voice.
Meet Brenda: Boredroom product explainer · 2D motion
A product explainer for Boredroom, one of my own products, in SaaS and product marketing, 2026.
Remote leads already have time trackers that show who is online. The film had to explain, in about a minute and a half, why being online is not the same as being productive, and why an assistant that knows the work is different.
Brenda tells it
The fluffy assistant character narrates in the first person: "I know Michael has three things to finish today" and "I know there are two things waiting for you to review."
The real product on screen
Tasks, the review queue, the dashboard, the docs and the people list animate in behind her, so every claim is shown in the actual interface.
The problem, made visible
A running timer and an "Online ≠ Productive?" moment show what clocks cannot tell a lead, then a wall of "Any update?" messages shows the endless check-ins.
The payoff
The whole family of assistants lines up for the title, "Your organisational work assistant", landing on "Less chasing." and a clear call to action.
[ Outcome ]
A 1:34 explainer that turns a new kind of team software into a story people understand in one watch, led by a character people remember.
